From the Candidate:
They say politics is broken.
I say — not if we fix it.
I grew up in the Lowcountry. I know what it means to watch a rural hospital close its doors. To watch your family’s land get tangled up in Heirs’ Property courts. To watch your kids come home with a diploma and leave town, or even the state, because there’s nowhere to work. That’s not a Lowcountry problem. That’s a leadership problem. I’m not running because I have all the answers. I’m running because the people of District 122 are the answer — and nobody in Columbia has been listening. I will fight for affordable housing that doesn’t require a second job just to afford the first one. I will fight for broadband that actually reaches the end of the road. I will fight to keep our land in our families — where it belongs. The Lowcountry didn’t raise us to be quiet. It raised us to be rooted. My roots are here. My fight is here. And on Election Day— my win is here, with you.
I’m Korey Williams.
